A dental implant is a small titanium post placed in the jawbone, where the root of the missing tooth used to be. Once it has bonded with the bone, it holds a crown, bridge or full set of teeth that stays fixed in place, so nothing comes out at night and nothing moves when you eat.
For most people, the appeal is simple: they can eat what they like and smile without thinking about it. Implants also put load back through the jawbone, which helps slow the bone loss that follows losing a tooth. And unlike a conventional bridge, they don’t rely on shaping the healthy teeth either side.
I’ve been placing and restoring implants since 2007, and I’ll plan your treatment with you, from the 3D scan to the final tooth. Implants aren’t right for everyone. Naresh graduated from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ in 2001, where he was awarded a scholarship for his work in restorative dentistry. Following an early interest in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry, in 2007 Naresh embarked on formal postgraduate studies, which culminated in a Masters in Clinical Periodontology. In 2018 Naresh’s achievements and experience in periodontology and implant dentistry were recognised, whereby he was invited to join a Spear Education study group in the United Kingdom to promote excellence in the provision of comprehensive dentistry.
Naresh stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry by attending courses worldwide, allowing him to provide evidence-based clinical care. He employs cutting-edge equipment and technology to plan his dental implant cases.
His treatment planning approach is conscientious, ensuring patients receive safe and effective treatment, whether they require the replacement of a single tooth or full-mouth rehabilitation.
