A guide of what changes to expect at your dental appointment

We understand the current Covid-19 situation has been a testing time for everyone, but also that we need to ensure we are still able to care for you and your dental needs. We have been working hard so that we can begin to welcome you back as quickly and as safely as possible.

We understand that things will be different to your usual experience with us. Therefore we encourage you to read this page so you are aware of what changes to expect when attending your dental appointment.

How to contact us

Prior to your appointment

We are required to complete a Covid-19 screening questionnaire and also obtain an up-to-date medical history (if we do not already have one).

To make it easier for patients to complete these prior to their appointment, we have an online patient portal whereby patients can log on to complete this information.

Our receptionist will provide you with a web link, which will direct you to the patient portal. We kindly ask that you complete the Covid-19 questionnaire, and also update your medical history. 

Alternatively one of our receptionists will be able to ask you this information over the phone.

Virtual consultations

We are now able to offer free virtual video consultations. A convenient way to speak to one of our dentists from the comfort of your home.

Patient portal

Our patient portal makes it easy for you to complete your Covid-19 screening questionnaire. You can also update your medical history, check your personal details, see upcoming appointments, and self check-in when you arrive at the practice for your appointment.

Our reception team will be able to provide you with a link so that you can access the patient portal. If you have trouble logging on, it may be that we need to check your personal details on our system to allow you to access the portal. Logging on

The first time you log on, a verification code will be sent to your registered mobile. This is a security measure to ensure only you can access your account. You will then be able to create a password to access the portal.

Once you have accessed the portal, you can check the “My Details” tab to make sure your information is up-to-date. 

Covid questionnaire

We ask that you please complete the Covid-19 screening questionnaire prior to your appointment. This can be accessed on the main Home page “Complete Covid Questionnaire”, or via the Covid-19 assessment tab.

Medical History

We also kindly ask that you complete and update your medical history, and list any medications that you are taking. This will save us having to fill out a paper medical history form when you attend for your appointment. 

Self check-in for appointments

By clicking on the “Appointments” tab, you can view your upcoming appointments (and also your previously attended appointments). 

There is also a “Self Check-in” button that allows you to check in when you arrive for your dentist or hygienist appointment.
